Twenty-two year old American violist, Aiden Kane, is an award winning musician. Currently, she is a Master of Music student and Bachelor of Music alumnus at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, where she studies with Mr. Paul Coletti.
Ms. Kane is the former violist of the Calla Quartet, which was awarded the Silver medal at the 2015 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. In February 2015, the Calla Quartet participated in Colburn's outreach program, Musical Encounters Concert at Zipper Hall, where they performed for 1,500 elementary school children.
As a soloist, Ms. Kane has been featured with the Frederick Symphony Orchestra and the National Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed solo recitals at the Alden Theater’s Young Artist Series and the Strathmore Mansion, sponsored by the Friday Morning Music Club.
The past two summers, Ms. Kane attended the Perlman Music Program’s Chamber Music Workshop. She has also participated in the Yellow Barn Program, and the Bravo International Music Academy. In 2015, as the violist of the Calla Quartet, she attended the Perlman Music Program’s Chamber Music Workshop, the Mimir Chamber Music Festival in Texas, and the Mimir Festival’s residency in Australia. Previously, Ms. Kane attended the Perlman Music Program’s Summer Music School from 2012 to 2014 and the Heifetz International Music Institute in 2011.
Prior to attending the Colburn Conservatory, she studied with the National Symphony Orchestra’s principal violist Daniel Foster through the orchestra’s Youth Fellowship Program.
